So who said HTC wasn’t making some “Facebook phones”? The company has just announced the HTC Salsa and HTC ChaCha, the official confirmation of the two new Android phones leaked yesterday. They’ll launch around the world in Q2.
They are for the very, very casual user and do indeed both come with a Facebook Button, which works like this:
“The Facebook button on HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa is context-aware, gently pulsing with light whenever there is an opportunity to share content or updates through Facebook”
Lovely. Another flashing thing demanding attention.
Tech specs are rather unexciting as you might expect, with the Salsa offering a 3.4″ 480×320 resolution, while the ChaCha (the QWERTY) has a 2.6″ screen screen that also hits 480×320. We suspect they are single core. And not 3D. Here’s the press release.
