The Phones4U online store has a quite sensational HTC Desire deal on at the moment, where you’re able to pick up what we still regard as the best Android phone available today for a mere £249.95.
The slight catch is you’ll have to buy a £10 top-up card at the same time as the phone, but even so. An HTC Desire for £260 all in. The best phone ever made for the price of a mid-range Nokia. That’s unbelievable.
Second one down. Bonkers price, that. Check the deal out here.

/ February 5, 2011That is indeed a bonkers price. bet a fair few people will be tempted by this. Wonder if it indicates retailers are desperately trying to clear stock ahead of mwc releases though?
Gary C
/ February 5, 2011Absolutely. The press is full of ads for the Desire, with the networks all trying to get people on 24 month contracts for last year’s model.

/ February 5, 2011Is it definitely unlocked? Can’t see anything about that on the deals page.
Gary C
/ February 5, 2011Should be, I think it’s P4U policy not to sell locked phones. If not, O2 will unlock phones for free if you send them an email.

/ February 7, 2011AFAIK O2 don’t lock phones. I’ve had a few from them and none were locked. There is other anecdotal evidence in favour of this.

/ February 6, 2011As I always seem to say – don’t forget to Quidco it – another £6.50 off!!!

/ February 6, 2011Is other sim working perfectly in this unlocked version properly?

/ February 6, 2011Love my Desire, but imho it’s tragically crippled by lack of internal memory
Iain
/ February 7, 2011I totally agree. I had to root my Desire and then unlock S-OFF to increase the amount of space for apps. Only worth attempting if you’re determined and have some technical expertise.
