Rovio Mobile has unleashed a new version of Angry Birds on Android today, bringing a collection of new levels to the smash hit physics game. 30 new levels called “Ham ‘em High” to be specific, in the updated version 1.5.1. Plus there’s a new “graphics toggle” to lower the detail
It’s an exciting moment behind the scenes for the game, too, as this marks the “syncing” of the iPhone and Android releases. Everyone gets the new levels at the same time. There’s no more version jealousy.
That’s the new low detail mode, which removes the backgrounds. You can – and we’re still very excited about this – download the new version of Angry Birds direct from the Android Market here. Wonder when the novelty of doing that will wear off?
Meanwhile, Rovio has confirmed that an update to spin-off game Angry Birds Seasons, featuring heart-themed Valentine’s Day levels, will arrive on Monday.
