It’s a big day for fans of casual gaming, with PopCap the latest to announce plans for Android. PopCap’s been teasing Android gaming developments for some time, but has finally revealed a pair of Android titles – Plants vs. Zombies and Peggle. Hooray. Lucky us.
This is the popular Plants vs. Zombies on Android…
And this is Peggle…
Accompanying the release of the images, PopCap man Jeff Green tweeted that the games would “definitely not” come with ads and also wouldn’t be released for free. So you’ll have to pay for them upfront, either via Android or, we imagine, a specific PopCap gaming site or app.
Games blog Joystiq says the games should launch in “Q2″.

/ January 19, 2011It would have been great if these had been around a year ago. I think most people who likes games like Peggle have probably played them on other systems by now.
Hopefully Popcap will consider releasing on Android at the same time as all the others for their upcoming releases.

It’s like gameloft – i really really don’t understand why they can’t at least put demos on the marketplace.
