Oh well that didn’t last very long. A Facebook representative has come out with a straight “No” when asked if the company was working with HTC on a specific Facebook-branded Android phone.
What he did go on to say, however, was that “This is really just another example of a manufacturer who has taken our public APIs and integrated them into their device in an interesting way” – which suggests that he does have some knowledge of HTC’s plans to integrate Facebook more deeply than is usual on today’s smartphones. But that it won’t go as far as being a “Facebook Phone”.
