The solid little LG Optimus One seems to be the new mass-market Android phone of choice for the UK networks, with prices for the Android 2.2 powered mobile continuing to drop as they compete for your money.
Previously you’ve been able to get an Optimus One for £18 through Three – now T-Mobile UK is undercutting that, offering a “free” Optimus One on a 24 month contract for the slightly odd, VAT-adjusted price of £15.32.
For your £15.32 you get a decent 300 minutes and you’re also able to select T-Mobile UK’s “unlimited” internet booster bundle for no extra cost. Which isn’t actually unlimited, but should be more than enough. Plus it’s the Navigation Edition of the phone, so you get a free car dock.
Check the deal out here. This is a proper good one.

/ January 6, 2011Its worth noting that these latest direct tariffs from T-Mobile _appear_ to include the “not-unlimited internet booster” AS WELL as a normal free booster. Which means that for many this will be picked as 300/lots of texts/lots of internet.
Ferreting in the small print also reveals that the bundled “internet plus” booster gives 3GB to an android phone, rather than the normal 1GB. Which all in all is kind of pleasant for their (new) android customers. http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/services/uk/fairuse/?WT.mc_id=fup#fup2
All the resellers seem to still only have access to a single free booster and thats capped to 1GB internet.
