There’s a new Android Amazon app on the Android Market for UK users today, which makes the impulse purchasing of things you don’t need much, much easier.
Now incorporating compatibility with Amazon’s “one click” purchasing system, the new Android tool also includes a “scan a barcode” option so you’re able to compare prices of other items in a flash or look up anything you’ve got lying around the house.
Bloody hell, check out the price on that Galaxy Tab. I’ll write that up separately in a minute.
Just be careful out there. Dialing someone by accident is embarrassing enough – accidentally purchasing items from Amazon because you didn’t lock the screen when you put your phone in your pocket takes it to a whole new level. Here’s the announcement:

/ January 26, 2011I put my phone in my pocket with my keys, which have that little bar code from the key insurance people, and got 14 copies of my keys in the post the next morning.

/ January 26, 2011It’s keys in the left pocket, phone in the right. Everyone knows that. Your contract insurance is invalid if you put your phone in the same pocket as your keys.
