To be frank, Zoopla’s one of those annoying sites that pops up when we’re browsing for new places to live that doesn’t seem to serve any specific purpose other than spamming search engines with place names. Sorry, Zoopla, but that’s the non-augmented actual reality as far as we’re concerned.
But now it has a sort of purpose, as the “Augmented Reality” house price finding app that was launched on iPhone last year is now available on Android, bringing all kinds of overlaid property pricing and history data to your search results.
That’s it in action. There’s a slight hitch in that you can only use the AR camera features in your surrounding area, which makes sense – but renders the app pretty useless for just browsing houses. Fun toy, though. Link via TechCrunch.
