Finally, the long-teased, tablet-friendly update of Android has been revealed, with Google showing off its large-scale fork of the OS for things with BIG SCREENS. And it’s about time, too, what with the number of Android tablets announced at CES 2011 that have said they’ll ship with the 3.0 “Honeycomb” release onboard.
Google’s official developer channel uploaded the video today, accidentally making it live before it was supposed to. But here it is, courtesy of a swift re-up from Engadget:
It’s a pretty fantastic and comprehensive redesign, that bears virtually zero resemblance to the current mobile phone version of the OS. It almost makes you want to break the bank and buy a spare Android tablet for leaving lying about the house.
