Wow. This is an as-yet unannounced new Sony Ericsson Android phone, currently being referred to as the XPERIA Arc. You don’t need a spec sheet or measuring tape to tell this is one incredibly thin phone – apparently it’s only 8.7mm thick/thin around its bony, curved waistline.
According to Engadget, the site that leaked the image claims the XPERIA Arc comes with a 4.2″ screen running at 854×480 resolution and the Arc will arrive powered by the “Gingerbread” Android 2.3 release.
As with last year’s Xperia X10, there’s a decent camera inside as well – an 8megapixel sensor. It’s all powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm processor. It’s on the shortlist for this year’s upgrade.
UPDATE:
Two more very nice photos have emerged. Here they are:

/ January 5, 2011Gary, you of all people should know that megapixels aren’t related to image quality, what with your protestations about the (un)importance of length. And girth. And tumescence.

/ January 5, 2011I’m dumbing down for the mainstream audience. I’ve typed the line “Of course, it’s all about the quality of the sensor” enough times in my life already.

/ January 5, 2011Christ almighty. Forget that gaming phone rubbish, this is for me. 2011 is the year of the Sony Ericsson comeback!

/ January 6, 2011As Tablin mentioned it may be time to go back to Sony!
