Samsung is to start giving away an “entertainment package” that it claims is worth around £200 with its Galaxy Tab Android tablet this Christmas, with new buyers of the tablet able to claim a bundle of downloadable media. To qualify for the free stuff, your Galaxy Tab must be purchased between December 8 and February 28, 2011.

The package includes a choice of 50 MP3s from eMusic, 15 movies from Samsung Movies including Sex and the City 2, 7 games developed and adapted by Gameloft for the seven inch device and 5 eBooks of your choice from WHSmith’s best-seller list.

It’s smooth to use, the 1080p display is sharp, clear and bright, the device is extremely light and thin and therefore very pocketable and portable — much more so than other 5-inch phones we’ve used. And yet… we’re a bit unimpressed by the overall package…
