One of our readers who ordered the Nexus S from Carphone Warehouse for the Android phone’s original RRP of £549 was rightly a little concerned after the price was chopped to £429 before the phone even launched – but everything has turned out OK!
CPW is refunding the difference, as you might expect – and has stock of the Nexus S in right now and ready to go. Here’s a snippet from Reader Baz’s dealings with the retailer:
I can confirm that we will be contacting you within the next few days to offer a refund for the difference on the Nexus handset that you have ordered.
I can also confirm that we now have stock of the handset, so your order will be completed shortly and sent out for delivery weather permitting.
Honestly, £549. What were they thinking?
Nice phone, but we’re officially Waiting Until February to see what gets unveiled at Mobile World Congress before planning the next upgrade. If you do fancy nailing your mast to the Nexus S, though, check out the deals at Carphone Warehouse.
