Blogging portal Posterous launches Android app

If you need yet another way to say nothing of particular importance to the entire internet every waking minute of your life, there’s a new Android-based solution on offer from Posterous.

It’s not simply an uploading tool – users can create their own Posterous blog from within the app, then begin happily uploading images and snippets of text via the standard Android Share button. And it’ll automatically ping links out to Twitter and other social networks, if you want it to and think people won’t mind.

There are quite a few unofficial Posterous clients already up there on the Android Market (as we just discovered 30 seconds ago), but now there’s a proper one with the right logo. Read all about it over on the Posterous Posterous.

There’s a list of supported devices on the maker’s site, which veers wildly from the HTC Desire all the way down to the original G1. We suspect that’s more like a list of Android phones everyone in the company has got and they’ve therefore checked to see if it works on.
