New Android Market includes support for tablet displays

Some clever hacker person has ripped the new Android Market app and uploaded the APK file for everyone to put on their phones and try, with the new user interface being explored and reviewed by the likes of Android Police right now.

As well as looking very nice indeed, the updated Android Market interface also includes a completely different layout when used in landscape mode on a tablet display, like so…

…which bodes well for expanded Android Market access via tablets in the future. Head off over to Android Police to read more and download the new Market APK itself if you know what you’re doing and would like to try and get it working NOW.

Just installed this on the Eurodroid HTC Desire and the landscape view works fine. It’s not just for tablets.

I wish it was a little better designed the green design on the left-hand side looks like something a middle school child could come up with their first time using Photoshop.

Remember it has to scale down to all crappy low screen resolutions, so blame HTC Wildfire owners for the lack of style :)

Installed and works well on my HTC Desire. If one download gives a parse error then try the others and one will eventually work.
