The official Android Facebook app has seen yet another update today, with the app hitting v1.4 and including support for two of the company’s big new recent announcements – Places and Groups.
Here’s Facebook’s description of what’s new and different and possibly a bit better then before, which was posted, appropriately enough, on the app’s Facebook page:
Hi folks, an updated Facebook for Android app (1.4.0) is now available for download. New features include:
- Groups: share posts with small groups of friends
– Places: share where you are with friends, see where friends are, discover places nearby
– Improved notifications: view comments and updates within the app
And here’s what it looks like, complete with new scroll-up-able Notifications area (right). Apologies for the possibly unsettling slight glimpse into my actual life.
The same thing but slightly different. There’s no way on earth I’ll be using Facebook Places, either, mainly because I only ever go to two places. Facebook for Android 1.4 is up on the Android Market now.

Does this mean that the recent semi-lull on twitter.com/sexyexecutive was due to paternity leave?

/ November 3, 2010I ran out of jokes. I’ve made a joke about every office scenario and piece of equipment I can think of.
And yes, there is a bit more sick and poo in the house than usual.
