The well known, low-spec, poorly-reviewed 7″ Intempo Android tablet is now being sold by the bizarre TJ Hughes discount chain, with the UK’s box-stacking retailer offering the thing for £179.
That’s quite a lot for something with only a 400MHz processor in this day and age.
And oh dear, they’ve made a bit of a mistake in claiming the Intempo tablet comes with Android 1.9. Where on earth did they get Android 1.9 from?
The same “Android 1.9″ claim also pops up on the online listing. Thanks to reader Tony for the tip and photo of his catalogue.

/ November 5, 2010This 1.9 is usually mentioned in a slot of listings from Chinese manufacturers and according to them their android 1.9 is equal to 1.6 for us poor ppl. Guess versions in china run faster than the rest of the world. As we wait for 2.3 aka gingerbread to come out I suppose for Chinese and now for TJ Hughes it’ll be 6.0 probably
