The stunningly successful Android version of Angry Birds has been updated today, with v1.4.2 now ready for download via GetJar (cough) or the reliable old Android Market.
The new release now supports phones with QVGA (320×240) resolution screens, so if you’re using something from the “entry level” end of the Android phone spectrum you ought to be able to run/install/play the game now.
There’s also a whole new chapter of challenges, called The Big Setup, which takes the number of puzzles in Android Angry Birds to 195 – and bugs that could break the game on Android 1.6 phones have been fixed. Result. Here’s the announcement:

We have fixed a number of issues that a lot of people experienced with Angry Birds on Android, including the blank screen issue on Android 1.6 devices, and the white textures appearing on certain devices.

/ February 9, 2011It didn’t update, said there’s not enough space. The only solution was uninstall the previous one and install the new. with that I loose all my savegames.
I copy the “/data/data/com.rovio.angrybirds” folder but after restore the game won’t open, simply closes itselft after the load screen.
