Samsung’s just announced some sort of slightly confusing media tie-up with the London 2012 Olympic Games, which will see Samsung pre-loading a “Best of Britain” app on its Galaxy Tab from this December – an app designed to funnel data from Visit Britain to the Tab.
We’re not entirely sure who’s going to win out of this relationship, but no doubt all the separate marketing departments involved are very happy with the end result. Here’s the oddly-translated announcement.
Samsung Electronics is the top sponsor for the London Olympic 2012, and it has signed partnership agreement with Visit Britain for utilizing mobile contents on 2nd Nov. They plans to develop mobile application called “Best of Britain”, and it will be preloaded on the Samsung Galaxy Tab from December 2010. It provides visitors with fresh information and content provided by Visit Britain, and help them to enjoy UK all the time and especially in the time of London Olympic 2012
And here’s Seb Coe holding a Galaxy Tab!
Nice product hold, Seb. See how Seb isn’t obscuring any of the tablet’s frontage with his fingers? He’s such a professional. Bet he didn’t even have to be prompted to do that. It just comes naturally to some people.
