Sony Ericsson’s trying hard to differentiate its Android offerings from the crowd with the launch of its “HAPPiness” app – a kind of community-focused bargains, deals and special offers tool, exclusively for its range of Android phones.
We haven’t used it. Might be good, or might be Sony Ericsson trying to sell you stuff you don’t really want or need.
It’ll only show up on the Android Market if you’re using one of the Sony Ericsson X-series of handsets. Read more about it over on Sony Ericsson’s Happiness Facebook page.
UPDATE:
As pointed out in the below comments, you can see the HAPPiness app on non-SE handsets and even install it – but it’ll return an error message when you try booting it up. Thanks for doing the research, chaps.

/ October 6, 2010I wonder how on earth they’re restricting it to only their handsets. It’s not like normal developers can target by device.

/ October 6, 2010I can see it on the market using my desire.

/ October 6, 2010I have just downloaded using my Desire – will update when I know whether it works!

/ October 6, 2010It doesn’t work – it is possible to download using the Desire, but when opening the app I get a message informing me I need a SE phone for it to work so I guess it has been limited to SE phones that way!
