There’s no new information contained within the report, with this UK newspaper doing little more than furiously rewriting Engadget’s Android PlayStation Phone exclusive like everyone on the internet was yesterday, but still.
It’s a good indication that there’s a massive, massive demand for a PlayStation-branded phone of any sort among the sort of people who don’t usually pay attention to phone developments. Here it is:
We definitely believe this is a genuine prototype handset, but suspect there’s still a chance Sony’s gaming division could simply say “NO” when the Sony Ericsson hardware development team ask if it’s OK to launch it. We’ll see.

/ October 28, 2010I see a very big egg on face moment GTA Rothbury style very soon. Badly faked pictures now making headline news? Moronic XFactor Sun readers must be even thicker than previously thought.

/ October 28, 2010It looks rough because it’s a prototype. It hasn’t got proper logos and buttons because it’s a one-off made to test the hardware. The software hasn’t got the right buttons in it because it was written by a programmer, not a user-interface specialist. The screen looks bad because it’s been chucked around an office between 20 people who’ve been hammering it non-stop for four months.
Like I said, I’m sure it’s 100% real but still may not launch due to political issues between Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Ericsson.
