HTC to launch "Phantom Black" HTC Legend

As well as that white HTC Desire we’ve known about for quite a while, HTC has today announced it’ll soon start selling a black version of its cute little HTC Legend – which will go on sale across Europe this month.

Here’s a massive promotional photograph of the new HTC Legend. It is definitely one of the blackest images we’ve ever featured.

A slightly odd decision as surely the sweet, metallic finish was the best thing about the lovely Legend? But who are we to question the marketing departments of the world? Here’s the full announcement:

LONDON, UK – 04 October, 2010 – HTC Corporation, a global designer of smartphones, today unveiled a new colour and finish for two of its most popular Android-based smartphones, HTC Legend and Desire.

The uniquely-designed and iconic HTC Legend will be available with a phantom black finish. The style and form factor for which the HTC Legend has become known remains the same, with its smooth, continuous surface, machined from a single aluminum block creating a seamless compact frame.

HTC Desire is also now available in brilliant white for the first time, providing a stunning new look for the phone which has become popular for the richness and quality of its visual and multimedia experience.

“We are always looking for ways to broaden the customer’s mobile experience ,” said Florian Seiche, President of HTC Europe, Middle East and Africa. “We understand that our customers love to express themselves, whether it is through their music, fashion or their mobile phone. We work hard to provide a strong portfolio of mobile phones, to give our customers the variety and choice in terms of experience, look and feel, that they crave.

“There has been a real passion for these phones since they launched. The phantom black HTC Legend and brilliant white Desire cap a quality mobile experience with an exclusive and premium finish.”

During the “keynote” by Mark Moons we got the good news that the Desire HD starting next week in the shops and some shops will phone him this weekend for sale. The Desire Z will be available next month in the shelves. The Legend gets a good brother or sister, Mark walked on stage waving a Legend in matte black. Even from this distance looked impressive out there, buyers of the Legend matte black edition also another chance to make a Black “Black Legend” Porsche to win (for 2 months then, more about this in another post). Unfortunately, the women all night on the hood were not included. Even bigger news is that the matte Legend Legend is running at 2.2 … Seems logical that the rest thus getting.

This is Sony’s latest go at producing a high-spec Android flagship model, with the Xperia Z2 ticking every one of 2014’s must-have tech bullet points. It has a large 5.2-inch 1080p display. It has the hot new Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset inside. It has a massive 3GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. It’s […]
