Motorola has taken the risk of putting some work-in-progress shots of its European “FroYo” Android 2.2 update on its Facebook page, giving Euro MILESTONE owners their first chance at seeing what Android 2.2 will look like when it hits the Android phone at the end of the year.
It looks… like you’d expect.
The full gallery of shots can be found here. Motorola has strangely opted to take photographs of the screen rather than direct grabs of the OS itself, but you still get the gist.

/ October 25, 2010Laughable how much time passed between the release here and over in the US. And then a locked bootloader so we can’t do it either. Sorry Motorola, not with me. Switched to Galaxy S now, it has it’s flaws, but at least we’re allowed to fix them.

/ October 25, 2010There are versions out there that are rather good. I’m using G.O.T.’s OpenRecovery and Froyo runs decently. I won’t lie to you; it does have some bugs but it’s a nice taste of what’s coming. It’s also OC’d to 1.2ghz. Mind you, the battery just laughs at me at those speeds. Realistically, I keep it at around 800mhz. Once the Canadian/Telus update comes out I’ll probably remove G.O.T. and go with what should be the more stable distributuion of the two. It’s a wonderful attempt in the meantime though.
