According to quotes reported by T3 today, the Samsung Galaxy Tab will come with an official suggested retail price of £599 when it hits the UK high street.
The other option will be to buy a subsidised version of the Android 2.2 tablet through one of the networks, which will cost you £199 – plus a monthly tariff of £25. That’s according to trade retail distributor John Doughty. Here’s what he told T3 earlier:
“Our SRP for the Galaxy Tab to our customers as a standalone product SIM free is £599 … we will also be offering our Resellers the ability to sell the Galaxy Tablet as a network subsidised device at £199 on both Business & Consumer tariffs when bought as part of a £25 per month 2 year contract”
Careful you don’t spit your tea out over the thing in shock, mate:
So do you fancy paying £599 or £199 plus £25 per month for a slightly bigger phone? We suspect not, as good as the Samsung brand may be these days.
