There’s a new official build of the Fennec browser available for downloading today, with Mozilla sticking up the newer Firefox 4 beta 1 test release up on its site. And yes, you’re now supposed to call it Firefox.
The release notes tell us this supports Firefox Add-ons, and has been optimised for greater speed. Mind you, everyone always says that. Here’s a brief look at it in action a few minutes ago on our HTC Desire:

Firefox is compatible with Android 2.0 and above devices.
Installation requires approximately 32MB internal storage, plus 12MB SD storage.

Don’t know why people pit up with FireFox bloat and Chrome privacy problems when opera is so much better on both desktop and mobile.

/ October 14, 201032MB? Christ, I’ve only got 15MB available on my HTC Desire’s internal memory, and that’s tough enough to maintain as it is. I’ll stick with Dolphin’s 1.32MB (which is on the SD card to boot).
