This is quite the odd little product. Sony Ericsson’s LiveView is basically a touchscreen remote control for your phone, which you can clip onto your clothing or pop into a little wrist-mounted holder and wear the thing like a watch.
It’s a 1.3″ OLED screen, with two physical buttons, capable of acting as a simple RSS reader, calendar and incoming call screener, connecting to your phone via Bluetooth. It’s as cute as a button. And the size of a button.

/ September 28, 2010That’s … actually pretty neat. Depending on how far, exactly, you can take it it’s really, really neat.
If you can use it to make and take calls, for instance, then you could have a tablet rather than a phone as your only device and leave it in your bag or coat when using it as a phone.

/ September 28, 2010Hmm, that’s a bit odd. I guess it’s coded something up special to ensure it works on SE’s own handsets, even though they’re not on 2.X.
It’d be rather embarrassing to release an Android accessory that doesn’t work on its own phones, after all.
