The latest in the long-running series of bug-fixing updates to Sony Ericsson’s B.I.G. original X10 smartphone has finally arrived for users on the O2 network – updating the Android phone’s OS to version R2BA026. It’s all still powered by Android 1.6 underneath, of course.
This is the update X10 owners have been longing for, bringing with it smoother operation of the phone’s Timescape and Mediascape aggregation tools, and apparently also increasing battery life substantially according to user reports. It’s a good one.
If you have the Sony Ericsson PC Companion software installed, use it now to update your O2 X10. The update’s not appearing for O2 users via the more traditional over-the-air route, though, probably due to its size – a massive 153MB. Link via SE-Xperia.com.
