Official photos of the T-Mobile G2, AKA the HTC Vision, AKA the HTC Desire Z

We think we’ve got all those model names correct. We finally have our first (small) official press shots of the HTC QWERTY Android phone that’s been kicking around the internet in leaked form for months now – this time branded as the T-Mobile G2.

That’ll be the US model name, and like we said, we’re pretty sure this will eventually have the HTC branding stuck on it for a release in the UK as the HTC Desire Z. We think. Anyway. Here it is.

Definitely more than adequate. It’d certainly do. And here’s the reason everyone’s so excited, HTC’s latest go at doing an Android-powered QWERTY:

According to the source of the pics, the G2 specs are pretty much exactly what we’ve been expecting – a 1GHz processor, 3.7″ screen, Android 2.2, a 5megapixel camera and that all important slide out QWERTY keyboard. Hot, basically. Very hot.

Well the processor and GPU is improved but not as quick than the Hummingbird in the Galaxy, other than that it is pretty standard aside from the keyboard.
