If you were up very early this morning in anticipation of Vodafone’s release of 2.2 for its branded HTC Desire, you got lucky. The “FroYo” upgrade for Vodafone Desires went live as promised in the very early hours of the morning.
And yes, the 2.2 update does indeed remove the rather unwelcome Vodafone 360 apps that were installed by an update to the Desire’s 2.1 OS a few weeks earlier . Everyone is now happy in Vodafone Land.
There’s definitely a trace of a smile there. There’s a massive feedback thread up on the Vodafone forum right now, if you want to compare notes with other Desire upgraders today.
