There was quite a mixed reaction to the beta test release of the Android version of TweetDeck, to say the least. The huge fonts which limited content capacity and looked rather out of place on high-res screens was one of the bigger design “issues” people had with the app – but that’s now been fixed.
TweetDeck’s just pinged out a link to the updated APK file with user-changeable font sizes in a Tweet this evening, also promising “better mapping” in the updated release.
Maybe now it’ll win you over? Those grabs are from the old version, by the way. Can’t be bothered loading up the new one just now, to be frank. Maybe we’ll give it a go later, now the APK file’s sitting in our Dropbox folder ready to go.

/ August 16, 2010I liked the app, but I think it drained my battery. So I uninstalled it and it looks it was really the cause. It misses a settings menu entirely and I also would like to see all the updates in different columns.

/ August 16, 2010I have installed and it makes ‘Home’ screen font smaller. (too small if you go too far (I blame it on the LG girls))
I don’t see how to reverse this to default but an OK update so far.
