Only six or seven weeks ago we were looking at 160,000 Android activations per day – now Google’s Eric Schmidt has claimed a massive 200,000 Android phones “and other devices” are being sold every day of the week. But probably fewer on Sundays, we’d imagine, due to retail restrictions.
There may be some minor technical difference between “sold” and “activated” but still. That’s a huge amount of phones. Here’s an artist’s impression of what 200,000 Android phones may look like:
