Dell adds Dell Streak Red to its catalogue

The Dell Streak, the 5″ tablet curiosity of the Android world, is now available in glistening and shiny red version through the Dell Store.

Internally, it’s the same as the standard Streak, with 16GB of storage coming via a bundled microSD card, Android 1.6, 5megapixel camera, wi-fi and all the other usual tech benefits that come as standard on Android devices.

Only in red. Sorry about the grainy photo, that really is the best Dell seems to have of its red Streak. It’ll cost the same too – £449 without a contract. Ouch.

It would be better if they spent more time developing a froyo version than bringing out the same thing in red. Also they should bring the price down and increase the screen to 7″.

  3. At 9.8 inches wide by 6.6 inches tall (with a thickness of a half inch), the device isn’t massive (albeit a little unwieldy when held in portrait), and its 1.5 pound weight gives it heft without killing your arms — though it still strains your muscles a bit if you’re holding the tablet up for an extended period of time. The next big thing is here. Get the Motorola(R) Xoom(TM).
