UK network O2 has stuck up a holding page for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8, the upcoming mid-size addition to Sony Ericsson’s very nice X-series of Android phones, with its 3″ screen positioning the X8 nicely between the tiny X10 Minis and the enormous original X10.
The O2 list of tech specs doesn’t go into any more detail about the X8′s particular version of Android – which may or may not be Android 2.1 in some regions – so we’ll have to keep guessing on that one for the time being.
We like the way O2′s web address refers to the X8 phone as the “Sexperia” – that’ll be the new in-house EuroDroid nickname for it. If it’s anything like as swish as the fantastic little X10 Minis, it’ll be a well deserved nickname, too.

/ August 1, 2010I strongly believe we are heading for the era of 100 $$ 2.2 android phones. 2.2 is 500 percent faster than 2.1, it will democratize smartphones.
