Sony Ericsson has today launched a new app recommendation site it calls Mash-App, designed to let users group together their favourite Android apps and games into little lists.
It’s basically an online tool to let Android fans show off their favourite apps, as once you’ve created your “Mash-App” it pops up as a page on the site with commenting options beneath it – so users can praise you on your taste in Twitter clients.
Here’s a chunk of the description:
“In a nutshell, www.mash-app.com is an easy to use web and (soon to be) mobile application that helps you create and share your favorite sets of Android-apps. These sets can be created around a specific topic or indeed in any way you prefer. So hopefully you can find some inspiration on what apps other people are using. Due to regional restrictions specific to your country, certain apps may not show up in the search results and the availability of recommended apps may differ between countries”
And that’s that. Here’s what the web interface looks like when you’ve created a Mash-App collection:
The Sony Ericsson Blog says it’ll soon also have an accompanying Android app, so you’ll be able to while away those empty hours between football matches by browsing peoples’ app collections on your phone – and installing any you like the look of.
