We’ve mentioned Huawei’s planned move into own-brand phones before, with the Chinese manufacturer looking to end the Practise of making phones for other people (it makes some of the T-Mobile-branded phones and others) and start taking the credit for its own hardware.
And the first images of such a device have appeared, with Engadget currently featuring some spy shots of a Huawei Android phone – proudly labeled HUAWEI on the back of it.
We’re much more excited about developments at this “entry level” end of the Android spectrum than the new glamour phones. The first company to stick Android 2.2 in a decent shell and get it out there is going to WIN BIG, we reckon.

/ June 29, 2010Looks nice, I do hope T-Mobile don’t make the back pink! Also would it hurt Huawei to make some nice cases? It’s a nightmare getting form fitting cases for the Pulse.
