The Dutch HTC Twitter account has uploaded several messages about the arrival of Android 2.1 for the HTC Hero today, suggesting it’s about to go live today – June 18, as promised.
Here’s the Tweet in question:
However, this could just be the Dutch HTC support people getting up to speed on the previous firmware update, so don’t get too excited. The text, run through a translator, says…
“The update of the HTC Hero to Android 2.1 are offered at this moment to all HTC Hero users. Installing these update”
So that’s it, right? The dream of all European HTC Hero owners is about to become real? If we have a Dutch reader able to supply a better translation, please pop it up in the comments or bung us an email.
