UK-based betting company Ladbrokes has pumped out a themed World Cup betting app for Android, which lets users place bets on World Cup match results via their Android phones in a very straightforward graphical style.
Here’s the description of KickOff from the Android Market:
“Whether you’re new to the game or an eager football fan, the Ladbrokes KickOff App is designed for you. Never miss a bet during the World Cup as you follow your favourite team to the finals.
“Ladbrokes Kickoff brings match notification, in-play and pre-match betting and no confusing odds just your potential winnings!”
And here’s what it looks like, in action on our HTC Magic a few minutes ago.
We’ve just had a go on it and it’s a pretty good tool. You need to be registered with a Ladbrokes.com account and have some money in it to make it all work, obviously, but from then on it gives you a very simple interface for betting on wins, scorelines and more, with just a few presses.
Before you know it your money will have been hoovered up and redistributed among Ladbrokes shareholders. With thanks to DarkTheory for the heads-up.
