This app is for dog owners whose dog has eaten something and they would like to know if the thing the dog has just eaten is poisonous to dogs – or not poisonous to dogs.
Oh yes. The Android Market can be stranger than fiction. Here’s the app’s Market description:
“This app gives you a list of poisonous dog foods. A very handy thing when your dogs eats something from the street and you don’t know if it’s poisonous”
And here it is, transcending international dog-cuisine boundaries by offering a simple colour-coded scale. We suspect red means take your dog to the vet, green means the dog will be OK, and orange means the dog will probably be OK but you’re going to be cleaning the carpet tomorrow morning:
Oh yes, and did we mention its primary language is German?
So to recap… that’s a German-language Android app about types of food that are poisonous to dogs. We think it’s going to be a long time before we find anything more NICHE than this.

Dogs are a common pet and about 100 milion peopla has german as their native toungue. Come on smaller language and more obscure pet anyone?

/ June 2, 2010But how many of those people have an Android phone and are likely to experience an event in which they need to check the poison/not poison status of something their dog’s eaten?
