You’ll never guess what Fake Battery does. OK, you probably already have, that is quite a descriptive name – Fake Battery generates a low battery warning screen so you can, according to the maker, get out of having to let someone else have a go on your phone because your battery’s dying.
Here’s the app’s description:
“Simulate the low level battery screen. Useful to avoid to give your precious phone, for any reason, to someone else… ;)”
Madness. But a clever idea:
We haven’t tried it out. We are not yet that weird, paranoid and controlling. Plus pretty much every time we try to use our bloody HTC Magic that’s the actual screen we see anyway.
It’s smooth to use, the 1080p display is sharp, clear and bright, the device is extremely light and thin and therefore very pocketable and portable — much more so than other 5-inch phones we’ve used. And yet… we’re a bit unimpressed by the overall package…
