We have one other bit of Samsung Galaxy S news today, thanks to online retailer Play.com – which has just put up prices and dates for its SIM-free and unlocked version of Samsung’s next Android 2.1 phone.
The price is a little on the steep side, with Play asking for £449 in exchange for a SIM-free Galaxy S. As lovely as the 4″-screened Galaxy looks, that’s rather a premium price tag for a phone from a company with as chequered a history in the Android world as Samsung.
Still, it’s a bloody nice-looking toy:
…but we’ll wait to see what sort of tariffs Vodafone has to offer. We’ll be much nearer our contract upgrade time in June, so a deal could be done.
