Oh yes, everyone loves a nice analogue dial, don’t they? That’s the promise offered and indeed DELIVERED by Gauge Battery Widget Beta, which takes your essential smartphone battery monitor and sticks the data into a slick little analogue-style meter.
It’ll make watching your Android phone’s battery dwindle away by 10% every five minutes even when you’re NOT EVEN DOING ANYTHING much more enjoyable.
Oh look. Our battery is flat. Already. As usual. The app could do with perhaps having a bit more shininess to it, and maybe some transparency options for that background, but it’s nice nonetheless. And only a beta.

/ May 31, 2010Sorry your Android phone is faulty or maybe it is your Sence of humour. I was under the impression this publication supported android, I see no place for untruths & childlike jibes.

/ May 31, 2010Wow, something is seriously wrong with your battery. My N1 battery goes down by 1% per hour when sleeping. And regularly lasts me 30-40 hours normal use. Heavy usage drops it to about 20 hours.

/ June 1, 2010I think they maybe are a little too defensive of Android. Clearly Gary loves the OS or he wouldn’t be spending so much time running this site.
