Glu Mobile, which doesn’t have that many “must have” Android games to its name but has at least been giving it a good try, has today announced a one-off sale of “most” of its Android games.
For this weekend, the majority of Glu’s Android games will be SLASHED to a mere $0.99 in price, although we’d doubt this discount will be applied to licensed products like the company’s Guitar Hero 5 Android port, which is currently up for sale at $6.99.
But we shall see.
Poor old Glu’s been having a bit of a hard time recently. Despite signing a few high-profile mobile exclusives – like the next Call of Duty game – it’s still making a rather huge loss, managing to disappear $3.7m in the first quarter of this year alone. Not that we’re suggesting you buy a game as a charitable act.

/ May 28, 2010Perhaps they can take some time to focus on porting/producing/developing higher-quality games. My girlfriend is quite addicted to Diner Dash on her iPod touch, and I thought I’d give the Android version (from Glu) a try. That was a mistake–good thing Android Market allows refunds. For such a simple 2D game, I haven’t seen graphics that bad since I last used my Game Boy. Those lousy graphics got in the way of gameplay–it was hard to discern interactive items from static items, read scores, and so on. Awfully disappointing.
