Well, that’s a roaring future assured for the HTC Wildfire, then, with HTC’s brand new “entry level” Android phone so far confirmed to arrive on contracts through Virgin Mobile, T-Mobile UK and Three in the UK alone.
The mass market beckons.
As ever, there are no prices on the Vodafone Wildfire holding page as of yet – just a little box for you to stick your email address in should you want to know MORE. We have entered our details, even though we’re unlikely to ever touch a Wildfire in the flesh.

/ May 25, 2010Researching this on mobiles.co.uk (owned by Carphone Warehouse) for a relative it is possible to get the phone on Vodafone for free and with 300 minutes and unlimited texts per month for under £11 after cashback and even ignoring cashback it it possible to get a free phone on a 24 month contract from £15. This certainly seems like a very cheap price for an Android phone – and it may become cheaper as more competition happens (although it may be like the Desire and get more expensive!).
Only problem with this low priced Wildfire it makes my argument that the Desire is a better phone a bit harder!
