Is there really a Bamboo Packaging Party? Dell seems to think there is, as it’s just sent word that its forthcoming Dell Streak Android tablet/phone will be shipped SAFELY and NEATLY within casing made out of refined bamboo.
Dell says this makes the Streak’s packaging “compostable” – although it’ll be a bit difficult to return your phone under warranty if you’ve thrown the box on the compost heap. It hasn’t thought that through, has it?
Here’s how Dell just broke this SEARING EXCLUSIVE:
“In addition to being the coolest new tablet around, with features like Integrated Google Maps with turn-by-turn navigation, street and satellite views and a high-resolution 5 MP camera, Streak is packaged with bamboo cushions.”
And here, in a sensationally dull first for EuroDroid, is a photograph of the Dell Streak’s bamboo packaging:
Basically, we’ve already written about all the interesting stuff that’s been announced today and are now working through the dregs.
