If you’re a bit on the anti-social side and don’t make that many phone calls or send many texts, Three has a superb HTC Desire deal running at the moment – the Android phone for “free” in return for signing up for a 24-month, £17 per month tariff.
The contract in question is Three’s Internet Talker 100, which gives you a mere 100 minutes of calling or 100 texts per month. Internet use is “unlimited” which, sadly, is only 500MB per month in Three’s book. How is 500 of something considered an unlimited amount?
The £17 per month charge is a web exclusive including a £2 per month discount. So let’s see if it’s in stock:
Hmm… two weeks for delivery. Can you contain yourself for a couple of weeks? It’ll turn up eventually, right? That price works out as £408 over the course of the 24 month contract, barely more than the price of an unlocked handset alone. Check it out over at Three UK.

/ May 11, 2010Go through topcashback.co.uk and get a further £32 cashback if a new contract – making it £15.66 a month over 24 months. Wish I’d held out a bit longer as I would of been willing to pay a bit more than the £10 a month (£40 for phone – Samsung Galaxy Portal on T-Mobile) to get a Desire.
Ha Ho – the Portal’s a good phone though (even better when the offical 2.1 update comes out :-)
