Not a particularly astounding deal price-wise, but handy in that it’s very straightforward. Carphone Warehouse is now offering an HTC Desire connected through Vodafone with 300 minutes and unlimited text messages, with no upfront fee for the handset – all for £25 per month on a 24-month contract.
The tariff page makes no mention of what the internet usage allowance might be, so you might want to clarify that before you find yourself whacked by Vodafone’s new data excess fees.
The deal’s a web exclusive, apparently, so won’t be available in physical Carphone Warehouse stores. Although we suspect if you batter a salesman with a rolled-up print-out of the tariff page hard enough and for long enough he’ll probably relent.

/ May 8, 2010Well, I still do not understand why everyone is still buying phones on contracts. I moved to O2 simplicity (800 mins, 1600 txts, unlimited internet) for £20/month on contract for 12 months and got my HTC Desire from clove (£380). If you compare the amount of minutes, unlimited internet, unlocked phone and divide it by 24 months – I think I am winning the game :)
