Well, that was quick. Just when we thought the HTC Desire STOCK CRISIS was beginning to subside, UK operator Orange, which only put its exclusive ‘Black Edition’ HTC Desire phone up for sale yesterday, has said it’s already sold out of the must-have Android handset.
The phone is currently listed as “out of stock” on the network’s order page. And guess what? It’s because of the VOLCANO again, or, at least, as a result of stock troubles cause by the nightmarish travel situation across Europe.
Here’s how Orange PR man Conor explained it all:
So keep reloading Orange’s Black HTC Desire page, if you’re after one – it’ll reappear soon. Also, reader Tom said in a comment here that an Orange employee told him it was expecting 2000 desires in its first delivery – so that’s 2000 already shifted on Day One, if true. Impressive.
