Following the debut of its super-slick official Twitter Android app over the weekend, the micro-blog portal is looking to further bolster its Android team by hiring a Software Engineer.
You need to know lots of technical stuff, like “Ruby” and and you must be able to work in an “open floorplan” office. Here are the main “Responsibilities” that come with being Twitter’s in-house Android developer:
Build an exciting Twitter branded experience on the Android mobile platform
Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from, product management, interaction designers, and other teams
Assist mobile device makers building Android handsets to integrate the Twitter branded experience throughout their implementations
Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems
Conduct design and code reviews
Pro-actively look for ways to make Twitter better
You’ll probably spend your first week trying to get it working on Android 1.5 and 1.6 and 2.0, seeing as the Android Twitter app is shamefully only compatible with Android 2.1 at the moment…
Must be easy. It’s all automatically generated with RSS these days, isn’t it?
