After many weeks of rumours and maybes, online penny-counter Mint.com has finally pushed the Android conversion of its money management app out of the door, telling the world all about it in a press release today.
You’ll be pleased to hear it works on Android versions 1.5 and above. Here’s a quick list of the main Android Mint app features:
OS Search: Easily search for and find recent transactions, anytime, anywhere.
Mint.com widget: Access a snapshot of overall cash flow in real-time.
Android Live folders: Get financial updates on the phone’s home screen without launching the Mint.com application.
And if your finances are in good enough condition that you can stand looking at them, here’s what greets you:
Thrilling. Who pays for a $2.25 coffee with a credit card? There’s even a home screen widget available, if you want a LIVE update of all your finances and don’t mind every passing person seeing how overdrawn you are:
The Android app is not showing up on the Android Market just yet, though. All we’re getting is a couple of unofficial Mint apps and some bizarre unrelated uses of the word “Mint” in other app descriptions. Hopefully it’ll pop up for download very soon. Link via TechCrunch.

/ May 3, 2010Whoops. It was featured on the BBC’s Click a few weeks back, so I sort of assumed it had crossed over.

/ January 9, 2011Is there any decent UK alternative to mint.com? Tried about 10 money management apps and none are any good. Either awful interface or no option to add recurring bills and deposits. Plus none of them actually synch with bank accounts.
I need this app, I’m awful with finances… please bring it to the UK!
