German site Mobiflip today features one of the most pleasing sights imaginable for mobile owners currently locked into an HTC Magic contract until August of 2011 – a Magic / myTouch3G supposedly running Android 2.2, which Google and the internet refers to as “FroYo”.
Here are the pics. Quite easy to create in Photoshop, so could be fake – we’d suggest their validity depends on how much Mobiflip values its reputation…
Link via Engadget and AndroidandMe, the latter of which claims Android 2.2 is currently showing up in in its web stats.
Could, COULD this be the reason for HTC’s numerous delaying tactics when it comes to updating the Hero? Is it possible that “FroYo” will simultaneously appear for all handsets, in unison, upgrading everyone to the same playing field?
It’s a dream.

/ April 22, 2010Is that automatic updating a new feature? Or existing?
Gary C
/ April 22, 2010It’s not a current feature of any Android version. It’s (possibly) a future feature of “FroYo” or Android 2.2 – if you believe what you read on the internet.

/ April 23, 2010IF this is HTC’s plan for Hero a update (Across the board 2.2), then it would make PR Sense to say so, as clearly saying nothing but “yet another delay” is leaving a very bad feeling in Hero owners mouths.
