Mobile ad-serving company Millennial Media, which claims to gather data from 83% of all mobile web users in the US, says it served an astonishing 72 percent MORE ads to Android phones, globally, during March than in the previous month.
Now March does have a few more days in it than February, but not 72% more, so that’s a HUGE rise for Android according to our basic understanding of maths. Here’s a quote:
“Millennial Media, the largest independent mobile advertising platform, said today that mobile Connected Devices like the iPad and Sony PSP displayed more than 20 percent of the ad networks’ ad impressions in March, a trend that could have far reaching impact on mobile advertising as these devices grow more popular. Additionally, global Android ad requests grew 72% month over month, and global RIM ad requests grew 25% in March”
